The course software has been installed ,I’ve pulled out one or two of my old design books and so we’re ready to rock’n'roll!  

I’ve only been making swaps ,so theres nothing to show! Not that it would matter anyways *watches tumbleweed roll past*

My Magnolia fall set turned up the other day,as did the Joanna Sheens’ ‘Messy Rabbit ‘ sets ,and I’m loving the forever friends stamps.I made a bad call and ordered 3 paper packs (I have a paper fetish) and just one stamp..Fear not ,I’ve decided I may as well be hung as a sheep for a lamb,and ordered another 7 ,again ,from Crafts Superstore…mwhahahaha

How did I survive without promarkers? I’ve tried everything on the market and nothing worked.I am Creatively Challenged in ways you cannot imagine,so watercolouring was a major issue for me.Promarkers? WELL HELLO!

The following images,had I discovered on my blogging travels, would have had me thinking ” Oh I wish I could do something like that..” Well I did!!   Promakers are just incredible ! I have over 70 atm,and I need the rest! An amazing invention for someone like me!!

In exactly 27 hours and 22 minutes I will be 33 years old.

Rats.

On a lighter note ; I got my paperwork for the OU yesterday !   I was so nervous opening the letter ,the only time I have felt nerves like that was when I was opening the acceptance/rejection letter from the tech with my first HND.The OU accepts everyone regardless of ability/previous academic record ,but for some reason I was terrified but hysterically excited at the same time.Put it this way -I received an order from Craftie-Charlie in the same delivery and it was placed to the side whilst I fumbled with the OU letter.  I’m petrified at the thought!

I’ve logged into the student page ,and whilst going through the pages I’ve discovered a page that allows me to link the current course to further study ,namely the BSc (Honours) Information Technology and Computing which is a better option than the one I had previously considered.It has a course of study already worked out ,so less brain drain for me there!

The course itself is pretty comprehensive ,I’ve been reading through the online reviews from previous students and the most common irritation was regarding the amount of study required.Apparently its very fast paced and the workload is quite heavy for ‘only a 10 pointer’

New layout.I gotta kick this place into shape,its been horribly neglected of late.The images done by me -Featuring New Kids on the Block,it  was a nice but dull greyscale picture,added some texture and small colour overlay and there you have it.Template? No so sure ,it was on a backup cd from a good while back-I was still on the desktop ,which was well over 18 months ago-If I find who made it I will credit it-cos its nicely done *smiles*

I’m loving Promarkers at the moment -I have 54 out of the 92 available ,so I’m hoping to get the entire range eventually.The H&S will be landing at funkykits very soon, so -eeeekk! I think the Fall stamp club should be released very soon as well.

Not much going on that I wish to discuss on a blog anyhows,but its an entry to mark the new layout.I will be adding some desktop wallpapers and such over time.I’ve started to play with paintshop again .so well see what happens! I want to get the sidebars in order as well,as I said I have neglected poor hermumbles,and the poor baby needs some love!

I havent been online much and possibly won’t be regularly for a bit.Things do and all that!

I know at times I can be misses antisocial and withdraw from people,but this place is pretty hectic at the moment and I honestly can’t see things calming down for a fair bit.I won’t go in to details as it’s just boring family stuffs,no drama or excitement -sorry!

Obession… ….Amigurumi…I was browsing Amazon last night and came across a few books on the subject.So I bought 2 books and a book on how to actually crochet..heh.A neighbour did manage to teach me a few basics ,but I honestly can’t remember  ,and well, the granny squares were hardly inspiring! These look cutesy and sweet ,so I think it might just hold my interest a little longer!

I’m going back to school!! I signed up with the Open University! Initially ,I was just planning to do a short course in Web Applications…but..after getting my hands on an actual prospectus I changed my mind.I’ve dropped to level one ;Design and the Web.To cut a long story short I want my degree,it has always been a bone of contention with me.I can go for a BSc (Hons) Open degree.I need 360 points-at least 120 need to be obtained at Level 2,and of those at least 60 at level 3.

Its recommended that I don’t take on more than 60 points during my first year.The best part ? I get it for FREE-I’m in receipt of qualifying benefits (namely CTC) .I’ve got the funding sorted and i’ve been awarded up to nearly £660 per academic year.The course I’m starting on costs £175 ,so really this is goood sh*t!! lol I’ll start with a relatively easy course ,to firstly get myself back into the idea of studying ,as its been quite a long time since I’ve undertaken any sort of formal studying,then I’ll work my way up,and as long as I reach the quota,following the study plan -then there you go! Theres no rush it could (and probably will ) take years to achieve.I doubt I will ever be back out in the workforce ever again,but its something I want to do.My physical limitations prevent me from attending an actual course of study,so this is ideal!

About 30 minutes ago, I was faced with one of the worst decisions ever! Over at funky Kits - Do I buy The Sweet Ebony set 2 Sugar Nellie stamps or the Honey and Pip Christmas Collection Sugar Nellies? Can I afford both at the moment? What about Max and Millie over at Spiral Whisper ?

I made the heart wrenching decision to go with the Sweet Ebony set plus the very beautiful ,and apparently very large, Girl & Birdhouse Sugar Nellie stamp.Mainly because I already own the first set ,and they are very beautiful! Unfortunately for now,the others will have to wait *weeps* I wish I had an unlimited crafty stash budget ,but I don’t!!  I also forgot to buy some ezmount!! argghh !  Oh well!

My Tildas were despatched on Thursday ,and should have arrived today,but seeing as we have a bank holiday today there was no post! Maybe tomorrow! I also just checked the Magnolia blog and the Fall set will be despatching end of August/start September!

No news as yet of the  hÄnglar & stÄnglar from Funky Kits .I’ve noticed that a lot of folk are selling off their older Sugar Nellie’s/Tilda’s and I can’t help but wonder if thats due to the hÄnglar & stÄnglars’ ?

I’m still waiting of my paperartsy order -it was delayed because the paper was not in stock!  I’m not having much fun am I? all these wonderful stamps and stash I’ve ordered and I have to wait!! Not that I’m impatient or anything….??   //Edit//  I’ve just recieved an email saying it has actually has been dispatched today! Yayness!//Edit//

All my recent makes have been Current Swap related ,so I can’t show! But I do have the two ATCs I did for Vonxys’ swap over at PCJ Both Sugar Nellies of course! Hamish and Luca the RockStar to be precise!

This was my first attempt at paper piecing and I was quite pleased with them!

Got the tooth fixed *happy bunny* its another temporary job until Sept 2nd but I dont mind ,as long as I’m not in pain! Jaxie seems okay after his vacination,although she [the Nurse] mentioned that he might be a bit out of sorts in about 10 days [8 now).He took it well enough,he cried after the jag but  mummy was prepared and had bought him a new packet of stacky cups!! I grabbed them from my bag and said “look Jaxie!”  he gave a big grin and said” ohhh cups!!” and all was forgotten!

Craftwise,I’ve made headway on the backlog-still a bit to go but I should be ready to post Monday!!
